Advertisements indeed play a vital role in gaining high sales. There are so many proved incidents. I would like to state an example of an indian advertisement which effected its sales positively. The thumbs up drink had an advertisement where a character would urge everyone to drink thumbs up. Some arrogant looking guys were shown drinking some other beverage and the main character would appear and do some heroic act and then he would provoke those arrogants to drink thumbs up upon which the main character would use this dialogue, "Common kids, grow up and drink thumbs up". So this advertisement when aired, people around the cities in India would use this dialogue when others would be seen drinking coke or pepsi. When you are being called kid its irritating and more than getting irritated people used to panic when they were called kids then and now. People there in those cities would not drink other beverages and would drink thumbs up. This is a true fact and the real example of advertisement affecting people.
