This institutional sales approach has been on the rise in the local market. Whether its about home appliances or apartments or vehicles big institutions have been eyed by all the importers and manufacturers. Due to the presence of international diplomats country representative offices, the number of expatriates are always increasing and being changed frequently. With the establishment of NGOs, INGOs and other international co-operative organizations the institutional sales have been booming. The pay scale of employees of these organizations is much higher than what the government employees get. So this is the assurance for investors who are into institutional sales for not having any defaults in the payment process. One of the biggest organizations in Nepal, Chaudhary Group had started these institutional sales for the first time in the country by providing their products to the staffs of well recognized institutes in easy one year installments. After that many other business houses are jointly doing institutional sales with co-operative and financial institutes as well. The Whirlpool Company has already designated a separate distributor for institutional sales in the country in addition to its regular distributor. This institutional sale is a good sector to invest upon and the big manufacturing companies are eyeing upon this approach as the turnover cannot be only depended upon commoners and later potential customers.
