Nepal has always been suffering from load shedding in this time of the year. thirty six hours of load shedding per week is unbearable specially when it comes to running industries and factories. The only option against load shedding used to be diesel run generators but the increase in price of petrol has affected the industries very badly.
The price of diesel per litre has reached 64.08 rupees. As stated by the Nepal Oil Corporation, to smoothen the supply of diesel, this step has to be initiated. The price regarding these petroleum products have always been on the rise and there's no record of dropping.
Now the problem is that, the black market will be active. The industries will need to operate generators at any cost and they will be obliged to buy at any rate. The stockists will make the maximum benefit out of it. If only the electricity is distributed consistently, the hike in diesel would have a minimal effect. With this, the whole economy would shake.
