All the commercial banks are on the run of expanding themselves by opening new branches. But they are totally focused in and around the capital city. There is only one bank owned by the state which is Rastriya Banijya Bank and one of the oldest banks in the country which has also decided to open its branches. The expansion was halted due to conflict and now it seems that the conflict is over. Now it is ready to open branches. The good news is not just about having many branches but the main concern is that Rastriya Banijya Bank has planned to open its branches not in the capital but in different parts of the country. This is what could be regarded as a good and helpful motive. All the other commercial banks are competing for having the largest number of branches but they are concentrating only in the capital city. Some banks have opened its branches over twenty which are established in and around the capital city. So this move initiated by Rastriya Banijya Bank is praise worthy.
· Sunwal of Nawalparasi
· Khanikhola of Dhading
· Kharanitaar of Nuwakot
· Mahendranagar of Dhanusa
· Katari of Udayapur
· Arughat of Gorkha
With these scattered branches over Nepal, people are expected to get a lot of benefits.
