More Banks Issuing Share

/

The NEPSE has totally been dominated by banks. More than 75 % of the total stock exchange is covered by banks. This shows that banks are the only sector in which the investment would be fruitful. The Standard Chartered Banks share has rocketed to more than seven thousands per share and so are the shares of other banks as well.

There are yet many more banks coming up in the share market which would be floating millions of shares worth billions. The general investors are also seemed to be more interested in investing in shares rather than in real estate property. And while choosing the shares too, people are more interested in buying bank shares. It is somehow a very strange trend in the NEPSE, as the only good sector to invest upon seems to be banks and not even financial institutes or hotels or insurance companies.

Nepal being very rich in water resources, there is a strong potential in the hydro projects. In the NEPSE market, those hydro power projects but they have not been able to build any positive rapport among the investors. The tourism sector is also an ever growing sector and the hotels group have also not been able to do well in the share market. Apart from these, like hotels, banks and hydro power projects there are few other industries as well but none of them seem to be as worth as banks in regards to investment.
