Global Bank Share Issuance

/

Yet again in the Nepal Stock Exchange a new bank’s share is going to be issued. The application form is due to be distributed from 11th July. Public in Nepal are seemed to be more interested in investing upon shares and why not, there are no other sector where a secure investment can be made. Share is the only investment sector where a small amount yields a great return. The banking sector in the Nepal Stock Exchange has been bullying the stock market and they are the only groups which have gained heavy profit till date.

The scope of tourism in Nepal is very high. Many tourists choose Nepal as a perfect destination for vacationing and holidaying. Some years ago before the country went into chaos regarding the political turmoil; Nepal heavily depended upon tourism and had gained a lot from this sector. The scope of tourism is now improving again but while looking at the Nepal Stock Exchange, those hotels groups haven’t been able to put a strong mark. Their financial policies don’t seem to be a good one because the share of hotels groups hasn’t done quite well in the stock market.

Another wide scope of Nepal is hydropower. Though there are very few hydro projects in the country, none of them has done well in the economy. In the stock market, this hydro project’s share has also not been able to show the real potential in terms of investment. If only proper plans and policies could be initiated, hydro projects could be the number one investment sector in Nepal but sadly, these hydro projects are heavily influenced by political scenario.

It’s amazing to see how good the banking share is doing in the stock market. Perhaps it may be because, most of the population in Nepal lives under poverty and they trust banks only. In spite of country’s worst condition, they think that banks are the only such firms which are capable of paying back the investment. Thus people think that investing upon banking sector is the only secure investment in Nepal.

If the banking sector keeps on maintaining the current trend, it would benefit every one and the economy as a whole.
