Investment In Football

/

The football season has ended and all the professional players from around the world are having a vacation. The big football clubs in Europe plus other parts of the world are busy eying upon football stars. This is the time when they make huge investments upon players, selling what they have and signing new players for the club. The amount of such buying is made in millions of dollars per player for a specific contract.

The most fascinating story in this buying and selling of players in the recent times is the issue regarding the resale value of the players. None of the big clubs are interested in investing upon players who are above 25 years of age. They have their own vision. Let’s assume, a player can be contracted for 5 years and when his contract is terminated after five years, no clubs would be willing to invest upon that particular player and thus the club which owns him would not get the required resale value.

With this new policy, professional players who have crossed the 25 years age mark would not have that much of opportunity of playing for the renowned clubs of the world. The only thing is to remain with the club for the rest of their lives if the club is willing to do so.

The clubs are now vying for players who are in their late teens and the good thing about hiring teen players is that, they can be contracted at a cheaper price compared to the reigning football stars of the world and when they spend a couple of years in the club, they would turn out to be a good footballer with the experience which is turn could be sold at a very good price. Big clubs in the English Premier have already dismissed plans of buying players like the Brazilian sensation Kaka and French playmaker ribery.
