RSSSince the discovery of telephone by Alaxender Gram Bell, It has undergone several modifications. Mobile phone is one of the outcomes of this modification. The present scenario is that people from all walks of life has access to mobile phones which has made communication much easier. However this luxury has its own pros and cons.
Communication is certainly one of the aspects which have been simplified by mobile phones. Back then we had to be in home or office or look around for phone booth when we want to use telephone but now it is not so. Moreover it was not affordable and accessible to everyone. Now we can use it almost everywhere.
The other major advantage of mobile phone is that now it is not medium of verbal or written communication. Now people can see while they talk to each other using video call applications .Except that most of the mobiles have calendar, clock, radios, cameras, video cameras, converters so in a way carrying mobile phone is like carrying multi gadgets in one case.
Likewise, most recently service providers have made it possible to surf internet in mobile phones. This means we can check or send emails, read weather forecast, see movies, log into facebook etc, search map or even do online banking. In a way this has turned mobile into computer itself.
Nevertheless there are some drawbacks of mobile phones that can’t be overlooked. One of them is its affect on health. Excessive use of mobile phone had been linked with ear diseases, headache, stress and depressions. The speculation is that it might also cause cancer in long run.
Similarly, misuse of mobile phone has been the reason for many road traffic accidents and distraction of pupils’ form class, employees from work etc.
In conclusion mobile phone has made our life easy in many ways but we have to use it cautiously otherwise it might be hazardous as well.
