Binod Chaudhary has been listed in the list of billionaires of the world. The one and only person to be listed in that category had earlier published his autobiography. I had bought one and read it and since then, I have developed higher respect towards him. In my previous posts I have written a few posts regarding Chaudhary Group’s diverse investment. Chaudhary Group founded by Binod Chaudhary is the biggest business group in Nepal which has investment in banking, real estates, electronics, fast moving consumable good and many more including educational field too. Off recent, Chaudhary Group has invested in agriculture which is the best move as Nepal used to be an agricultural country where ninety percent of the people used to be engaged in agriculture. This is why Chaudhary Group is the pioneer in diversifying its investment.

After reading his autobiography, I came to know that, Chaudhary Group is a share holder of the brand ‘Taj Hotes’ of India and have run many hotels overseas that includes hotels in Bangkok and Sri-Lanka to name some. Apart from hotels, Chaudhary Group has invested in hydro projects too which has a very huge potential in the context of Nepal which is rich in water resources. Leaving those sectors, the most successful venture of Chaudhary Group is that of the noodles ‘Wai-wai’. The brand Wai-wai has become a synonym to noodles in Nepal. Another interesting fact of Wai-wai is that, it has more than two plants in India currently producing Wai-wai and creating a lot of employment to the people beyond Nepal.

He also owns an island in the world Island in Dubai and it proves that, he has a very sharp hold in real estate too. Somewhere in his mid fifties, Binod Chaudhary has established himself in the world as one of the most successful businessmen. Technically and tactically sound, he is set out to grow his business even further. Getting a billionaire’s recognition from Forbes itself is a huge achievement not only to him but to the whole of Nepal as well. We wish him more success in the days to come in his life.
