The price of petrol here in the local market has hiked up yet again. The price never drops and keeps on hiking up. Though we are aware of the dues that NOC (Nepal Oil Corporatio) owes to Indian Oil Corporation but the rise in the price of petrol is not justifiable. Not only petrol but the price of kerosene oil, LPG Gas and diesel have also increased. Due to this increment in the price of petrol and such, NOC claims that the loss it has been bearing for a long time comes down but somehow the NOC will still remain under loss. This is disgusting. Every time the price hikes up NOC states the same statements. I still wonder who in hell is responsible for the ever hiking price in petrol and gas. Probably the politicians, the economists, the general public or the NOC. The actual verdict of the factor responsible for the loss occurred by NOC is still vague to me as well as to the general public. As far as I see price dominates the product (gases) and one day we will head back to bicycles and firewoods.
