The recent decision taken by the Nepal Oil Corporation is a very absurd one. They say that they will avail the Liquid Petroleum Gas in such a way that they could be able to fulfill the daily demand. The way is to mark the retail price in different categories. According to Nepal Oil Corporation, they have been bearing loss in LPG gas in addition to petrol. So the new plan goes this way.

There would be separate price for commercial use and a separate price for domestic use and for students as well. So how can they be able to determine the use whether its for domestic or a commercial use. A small tea shop who consumes a couple of cylinder to run his business and a large family who needs five cylinder of LPG gas cannot be distinguished between a commercial or a domestic use. Is it fair to charge a bit higher than normal to that small tea shop and charge less to that big family?

They also have said that, hotels, transportation companies will be levied an extra price for the same cylinder leaving the rest with the normal price. The price is expected to hike just to compensate the loss that Nepal Oil Corporation has been bearing in LPG gas.

So a quick decision should be made so as to reach the daily consumption of LPG gas by the Nepal Oil Corporation.
