In recent times, Kathmandu has seen a lot of foreign vehicles plying on the road. Sometimes back, the Indian automobiles used to dominate the traffic but the scene is slowly changing. There were imported vehicles in Kathmandu for a long time among which Pajero was the most talked about. Recently, a new enterprises has launched it’s sale of Volkswagon automobiles. Before this enterprise, there wasn’t any authorized Volkswagon distributor in the country however many Volkswagon models like Beetle could be seen plying on the streets. Some foreigner might have brought them and left.


Another new vehicle which would soon be seen on the roads in Kathmandu or more precisely in Nepal would be Hummer. A popular business group in the valley had announced to be designated as the sole distributor of Hummer for Nepal. No hummer has been on the Nepali road till date which is soon going to change. Though the roads in the country may not suit vehicles like Hummer, Nepalese would soon see Hummers on the roads.


Talking about these world renowned brands in automobiles, Rolls Royce lies among the most sophisticated and luxurious car in the world. The Royal family of the country had one and apart from that, there are no any models of Rolls Royce in the country. There were some old models of Mercedez Benz cars and busses in the country but to a very limited number and those too, very old and outdated models.


With the introduction of Volkswagon and Hummer in the country, the biggest names in the automobiles can be expected to be seen.
